The French named the city Tourane after it succeeded Hoi An (Faifo) as a vital deep water trading port in the 19th century. More recently, Danang was made famous in the Hollywood film “Good Morning Vietnam”. A short drive from downtown takes visitors to the splendid beaches of Non Nuoc (China Beach), My Khe and Tien Sa. Danang is also the gateway to World Heritage sites: My Son, Hoi An and Hue. Thirty kilometres of white sand, part of which was known as China Beach and used for rest and recreation by GIs during the Viet Nam War. The beach is excellent for tropical vacations and swimming is good during the summer. Winter surf can be dangerous, but the Da Nang end of the beach is sheltered and therefore safer. There are resort areas at each extremity, each with a small number of hotels on the beach offering a range of water sports and other activities, and many more places to stay further inland. Three World Heritage Areas (Hoi An Ancient Town, My Son Sanctuary and Hue Imperial City) are within easy reach and there are plenty of things to see and do in the vicinity.

Day 1: Ho chi minh - Danang

Pick up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi, transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for the short flight to Danang. Welcome and transfer to Resort in Danang. The rest of day is free to relax by the pool or on the sandy beach.

Day 2: Danang relaxation (B)
Breakfast. Full day free for beach relaxation or more discovery around the surrounding on your own. Overnight at resort in Danang.

Day 3: Danang - Hoi An - Danang (B, L)

Breakfast. Transfer to Hoi An, take a walking tour of Hoi An, discover the historic town which used to be a prosperous seaport city during the 16th to 18th centuries. Visit Hoi An colorful local market, Tan Ky old house, Phuc kien Assembly Hall, and the 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge. Travelers can also see local residents raise silkworms and produce silk for Hoi An's burgeoning textile industry. Lunch in a typical local restaurant. Afternoon, at leisure on the beach. Overnight at resort in Danang.

Day 4: Danang Departure (B)
Breakfast. Leisure time until transferring to the airport for flight bach Ho chi minh city or Hanoi.
